How to Repair :\windows\system32\config\system?

I restarted the computer to go into BIOS, but before i cud press DEL, it went past the BIOS screen and began to load windows. Impatient being me, i RESET the system. Ever since i get this error:
<b>Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM</b>

It also said I cud boot from the CD-ROM and try to Repair. I tried that but i have no idea what to do there. SO here i am asking u all for help.

tnx pal... jeez, all i had to do was a search at microsoft site...anyways, i am here at this site so much that i dont think of doing a search elsewhere at all :lol:
