i've been looking at the asus webpage and i see 5 different models
2 of them being ultra, 1 gt and 2 others vanilla card
i'm confused about 1 thing. 1 of the vanilla cards called gamers edition but has 1 GHz (500MHz DDR)memory clock whereas a normal one has 700 MHz(350MHz DDR).
The GT is faster than the Gamers edition, since it has 16 pixelpipelines where as the Gamers only have 12. The gamers edit. "can" be overclocked to nearly GT performance,l but generally the pricedifference does not even justify the existence of that revamped 6800NU
hmm i'm all over the internet but no information on 256mb asus 6800gt. maybe u bought ge/td ? which has 1.0ghz clock and is the gamers edition, or u simply have another brand???
or u bought an ultra without even knowing it???
or could u at least tell me where u bought it from??
hmm thanks i mean its very ON topic, well anyways let me continue that discussing, it seems ppl like systran more than asus geforce stuff.
babelfish uses systran engine and its free(yes if u want to purchase it and use every capability of it u've to pay), and there are many other pages that can translate russian to english. so its free i've read the article (thanks btw)
but that doesn't really answer my question, yes the oc'ed gamers edition seems to be the top choice.(often better than ultra at same clock (wierd)) but i wanted to make a comparison between 12-16 pipelines, so i wanted to compare a possibly oc'ed gamers edition to oc'ed gt edition
well i dunno its getting confusing everyday.
now i seek the option of buying winfast since its gt is 256mb but knowing that i'm going to oc it i can't rely on winfask leadtek ....
I've to buy quick or else i'm going to go mad!
