Doom 3 patch, D3 for Linux

Wierd, nobody noticed it. Though not related to graphic cards directly, but games and cards are like hand in pocket, so posting here. Besides better eyes here.

Fixes wrt graphics:
RENDERING
- r_aspectRatio now uses 0, 1, or 2 (4:3, 16:9, 16:10)
- Fixed in-game videos disappearing if you go to the menu and return
- Fixed inconsistent worldview of players exiting teleporter.

Also id has released Domm 3 binaries for Linux.

I noticed it, but I haven't installed or benchmarked it yet, see if it makes a difference.

Maybe you could run the timedemo and post if it increases/decreases your performance.

17.4MB??? Whoa! I guess that's nothing compared to Far Cry Patch 1.2 which was like 50 or 60MB (mostly PS3.0 stuff though). Anyway, I hope they got rid of that annoying clicking sound in Doom, that drives me nuts.

that shows the QUALITY of D3, id and the lord himself (carmack), smaller the patches are, better the core game is. No wonder grape calls that fartcry.

BTW, carmack must be pretty pissed abt not winning that $10 million, he wanted that as compensation for D3 Must have been playing D3 while watching Ansari X prize on TV.

Yeah, plus there is the money that he had to invest into the project. 'Tis ok though, he's a rich bastard and he's only getting richer.

It's funny- I use FartCry Patch 1.2 and there are visual glitches that were fixed in 1.1 that actually <i>came back</i> in the newer one.
