I have this Kurta IS/ADB, model 12x17, and a problem. I downloaded the drivers, but I don't have cables. I think it plugs into the mouse/keyboard communications chain on a Mac, but I would need to adapt it to PS/2 or Serial or even USB to use it on a PC. Any suggestions?
OK, I've go to keep this post at the top. Somebody in here is a designer who knows this stuff, or somebody knows how to adapt a Mac input port (keyboard and mouse chain) to either PS/2, Serial, or USB!
Nobody has a clue, including myself, what you're talking about.
I've never heard of mac hardware working on a PC. I have however heard of PC working on a mac, so I'm sure it's possible. Is there a simple adapter you can buy? Maybe you can buy a usb hub or something that works for both?

It's a high-end tablet. I was sure some of the designers in here would know. It LOOKS like it hooks into the input chain of a Mac because it has those kind of connectors (4-pin plus block). In fact it has two, just like a Mac keyboard. But I have PC drivers that should work. I have not been able to find any information on this model, but I'm hoping I can just install the drivers and test it under Paint. If all goes well, I'll configure it to work with another program. I have the tablet and pen.
But believe it or not there are systems admistrators, designers, integrators, and technicians in this forum. Somebody please tell me how to connect a Mac pointing device to a PC!
Yes I agree that many smart folks are in these chat er I mean forums. I have the highest respect for all who come and try to help with their awesome hardware knowledge.
(can't prove nothin)

If you're not going to help, then shut up. I for one agree that this board is mostly kids (I'm 19), but I've seen people who know quite a bit about certain things. Why is it that so many companies are hiring teenagers as programmers? Not because they can get away with paying them minimum wage.
I think you disrespect everyone in here too much. Sure, I'm not MCSE or anything, but I've got some experience a lot of people would love to have, but will never get the chance. Ever rewire a million dollar sound system? Didn't think so. Lived in more than one country, learning the language and the culture? Didn't think so. Can you play 3 instruments, 5 sports and speak 3 languages? Didn't think so.
I'm by far not the most talented person here, but I think you need to realize that there are people here who have experiences that are more valuable than you give them credit.

Apple? Macintosh? What are these strange words you speak?
"Why is it that so many companies are hiring teenagers as programmers?"
1. Still green, less demanding, less pay (like u said). It doesn't matter if they achieve to solve in 50-line code compared to the experienced programmer who did in a 10-line code.
2. Willing to proof they are good, need little pushing.
...and formost of all
3. Fresh head, the rest their heads either partially or totally burnt out.
Ok real (attempt) at help. Check out <A HREF="http://www.blackbox.com" target="_new">http://www.blackbox.com</A> for all sorts of weird adapers and such. They have mac serial to pc serial adapters.
Couldn't find anything for the 4-pin communications chain (called "Mac-Talk or something like that I think) to serial though. I sold it today for $30 to a Mac collector:-( I really wanted to use it, and realize that it would have been worth around $300 new-if only it fit something modern.
