Its funny, theres a lack of GDDR3 everywhere, but these manufacturers are taking out new cards all the time. I bet both companies are making just a bunch of cards for their employees. They play them, fight with each other, and the company makes a new card.
Consumers like us, only watch as these cards go by.
Soon we'll have R1000 and NV100 in the press, but we ll all be stuck with our 9800s and 6800s. A newbie will come here and posts
<i><b>"I am buying a card - which shld i buy X800XT or 6800UE"</i></b>
1 week later
<i><b>"Those arent in the market, besides new ones are out - which shld i buy XI800XT or 7800UE"</i></b>
another week later
<i><b>"Those arent in the market, besides new ones are out - which shld i buy XII800XT or 8800UE"</i></b>
....and so on
Wonder how XGI is managing, they dont even have that many cards coming out, and whtever are out - suck balls.

What's funnier, IMO, is that ATi has 700MHz (1.4GHzDDR) GDDR3 featured on its upcoming R480--we're NEVER gonna see THAT card! C'mon...1.6ns ain't exactly having the best time being fabbed...they think 1.4ns is just gonna fall from the sky in mass quantities?! Meh, w/e...so long as something GREAT is out Q2 '05.
Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.
