Wich is better, the radeon 9600xt or the 9700 pro. I was looking at the graphic card guide and it said nothing about the 970o pro. I've noticed the 9700 pro is 256 bit, wouldn't that make it better then the 9600xt 128bit card? I was just wondering because i can't find a 9800 256 bit regular card anywere so i was thinking about going with the 9700pro since it's 256bit. How does everyone feel about buying computer stuff off of ebay. I can't find the 9700 pro on newegg so I'm guessing I'll have to get it at ebay. I'm just afraid I'll get stuck with a bum card that has been overclocked and is on it's last leg and might die a week after i've got it. Maybe somone out there knows were i can buy one retail for a good price.

The 9700 PRO is much better than a 9600XT.

The odds of you finding a 9700 Pro new are very slim.

Anyways, my vote is also for the 9700 Pro, if you can find one.

I would take a 9700 Non pro over a 9600XT.

9700 PRO for sure.

The reason you can't find the 9700PRO on newegg or anywhere else is that they aren't being produced anymore, which is a shame because they were one of the best cards ATI produced.

XP2800+, Abit NF7, 1GB Dual-Channel DDR333, ATI R9800PRO 128MB, TT PurePower 420W, LG DVD+-R/RW

Xeen is a well known member here on the board. He has a post farther down about the cards for sale.

"I would take a 9700 Non pro over a 9600XT"

That should narrow it down.

I bought a brand new radeon 9700 pro at Ebay less than a month ago. It was OEM though and therefore has no retail box or cables or anything. However, I couldn't be happier. Besides, I got it for U$120 plus shipping so it was considerably cheaper than a 9600XT.

However, be careful as always. Bought it from this guy:

I think he has many more new R9700pro for sale.
