I'm currently switching my graphics card from a Radeon 9800 pro to a Radeon x800 pro. My question is that since I already have Radeon drivers installed on my computer for my old card, should I uninstall them before I install my new card?
Thank You in advance for any help.

Yes, you should uninstall the old drivers before you install the new card. I'm not sure because you are staying with ATi, but you may still need to run something like Driver Cleaner to get rid of everything hiding in there. Somebody else may be able to elaborate on that.

I find changing simthing big like a gfx card you should always reformat HD do a clean instal of OS and install all latest drivers, and see the massive performance boost.

i upgraded ran 3dmark and then did a fresh os install i had a jump of 1000 on 3dmark03 with a 6800.

so u could expect a performance boost with a fresh os installed with a brand new x800 pro and latest drivers from ati website.
