6800 Ultra PCIE support?

I dont know what this means. It advertises as an AGP 8x, but it has PCI-E support. Does that mean that I am getting an AGP 8x card that I can use in a PCI-E slot? Thanks in advance.

Rocket Sauce, it aint rocket science. AGP is diff from PCIe. Was, is and will be. Heck, except for the 'P' they dont have anything else in common.

Even a bridged chip card is PCIe only or AGP only (connector is different).

An actual phyical bridge is proposed from a few Manufacturers (even ATI once again), but nothing has appeared yet on that front, and seems somewhat impractical, but heck I'd buy one just for he novelty and flexibility for testing.

If anything it is simply stating the actual speed across the connector to the PCIe slot which would remain 8XAGP by standard, and faster by theory.

PS, Tenacious D is awesome. DVD is pretty weird especially the mini-movies, 'Celebrity Sperm' :tongue: , Dave Grohl as the Devil was hilarious.

6800 Ultra is an AGP chip. PCIe cards are available using that chip with an adapter chip. You buy either an AGP card or PCIe card, and live with your choice.
