I am looking for a Radeon 9800PRO 128 MB. But I find that every manufacturer has very different price for it. From the ATI RADEON 9800 PRO as the most expesive(average of 230 U$) to the cheapest POWERCOLOR 9800 PRO 128 going for 149 dollars and
MSI and Saphire charging around 198 U$ ( I am only looking at reputable online stores with ratings of 95% customer satisfaction or more).
My question: is there a difference in the reliability and performance factors among those cards from diff. manufacturers?.....anybody dares to give a qualified opinion?
Ok, those are wrong ads. You will not find a 9800 Pro for $129. For that price, its probably a 9800 SE. For about $150, thats a 9800. And for the $199 or so, thats the 9800 Pro. There were three models, but sellers like to name them all as 9800 Pro's. Be careful. I would reccomend buying from newegg.com or zipzoomfly.com
I suggest buying from http://www.newegg.com and getting a BBA(Built by ATI)9800Pro or the Sapphire 9800Pro. Sucks that you are buying now, for some reason they jacked the prices up like $20 more than they were selling for. If you can wait, wait for the 6600GT which will be released fairly soon. It will eventually come out for AGP and will cost about the same as a 9800Pro except it's faster.
The 9800 Pro for $150 is probably a 128-bit RAM version. Check the specifications before you buy and make sure you get a 256-bit RAM version.
