When I type in ctrl+alt+delte to get the task manager it says that it was
disabled by the admin. Now I am the admin and I did not disable it. No
viruses found, so how can I enable it again?

you are a legend... thanks for the advise i have been searching and
searching for so long and thought i had to repload windows xp to fix this
problem with taskmanger disabled.
I relie on taskmanger to close applications all the time.
