My screen will blink off to a black screen and come right back on and when it
does everything on the screen is so big you can not see it. When I go fix
it, it will not stay. Eventually it will flicker back off and on again and
it will be normal. It does this so often it is annoying. I have updated the
driver and fixed the screen resolution. What else can I do? What happened?
I have a compaq presario 7500 series with windows xp home edition. My email
is maddawgtyson2005@aol.com.

That sounds like a hardware problem, most likely with the monitor but
possibly with the video board. If possible, test the monitor with another
computer to try to narrow it.

I have been having the exact same problem. I have a Dell Dimension 4600i, a
Sony 19 inch LCD Monitor and Windows XP Home edition. I too have updated
the video driver, reinstalled the graphics controller, checked connections,
changed the screen resolution, etc. and nothing helps. Have you found a
solution to the problem? I would be very interested if you have. Thank you.
