Dhcp is not enabled for wireless network connection windows 7

I have other computers (1 desktop, and 2 macs that connect to our new router, but my 6 month old gateway lap top will not connect and the troubleshooting says DHCP is not enabled for "wireless Network connection". (However, the laptop did originally, but had to switch the modem and router to a different phone number.

I have read a bunch of solutions, but I am a novice and can't understand exactly what I need to do.

Thanks,

  1. I think I figured it out...or the computer did. Wish I knew how I could have done it manually though...if anyone can explain it.
  2. Shpt62,

It's hard to explain it if we don't have all the facts -- what did the computer do to fix it?
