Greetings.

Since I built my Shuttle XPC system a while back I haven't been keeping up with stuff. I'm looking to replace my graphics card and have come looking for recommendations so I can get the most for my buck. Could any of you that are keeping up with stuff better than myself be so kind as to offer any insight as to a card I could get that would fit the following parameters:

Price Range: Up to $200
Size: Has to fit in my little Shuttle box (SN45G)
Bus: AGP 8x
Power Needs: This little buddy has only a 200W power supply
Primary Use: Gaming, so would prefer 128MB memory
Port: Preferably comes with DVI connector

Any advice is most appreciated. Looking forward to ordering from Newegg soon.

Thanks in advance!

A few things come to mind, GeForce2 MX, Radeon 7000, Kryo II...

Radeon 9800 pro, then with the spare cash buy the upgraded shuttle power supply that Newegg carries.

the 9600 pro uses less power and runs cooler than the 9800 pro, but also offers less performance. depends on what you want. I would recommend either the 9800 pro or the 9600 pro

Actually, I've seen reviewers put 9800 Pros in Shuttle PCs with 200W PSUs and they were totally stable, no random rebooting or anything. As long as you don't buy a 6800 or X800, you should have enough juice for a newer graphics card.

Best Buy has the 9800 on sale.
It should be $199
But lately I've seen a markup of $6 per item...
So It could be like $205.99. No Joke.
If you could get another hunred dollars or so,
Go with a Geforce 6800!
It kicks ass on even a tiny pc like mine.
Take it from these guys (the posting guru's)
The 6800 is The Deal!
On a cheaper note, the ATi 9550 doesn't look too bad
with its 256mb, dx 9 support and $129 tag, it's inviting, and it doesn't require extra power either.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Yeah, I just saw that there is a 250W power supply out for the little box. Gonna prolly pick it up too...it supposedly runs a little quieter as well.

I'm thinking I'll prolly go with the 9800Pro.

Thanks again for the input!

Best buy has a BFG 6800 OC w/ 50$ rebate so 259.99 plus tax and junk, think it's for only this week tho.

With that punny PSU you could get the Radeon 9600pro or XT. You could also look into the r9800 lines if you upgrade the psu.

I stick by my recommendation of the old crappy cards, simply because if you wanted a real machine, you would have built a real machine.
