Really it's about the fates of a previous generation, and still neither company being able to shift significant amount of product out the door to change the last generations impact. But that's a pretty big shift, 50/45 to 37/59 is a pretty serious shift in percentage of the market.
I expect the market to shift back towards the middle or even in favour of nV, but really alot of that will depend on getting these new solutions to the market to begin with.
Still just shocking numbers considering how slowly ATI was gaining during the actual hey-day of the R3xx and FX series.
None the less ATI better save some of their previous profits and put it into R&D to be sure to remain competitive in the long run, because this is really all about last generations performance, not any type of validation for this generation of cards.
