Good games ???

Hey I want to compare graphics from the games on the PS2 to the same games on the computer to see just how much better the graphics are when i get the computer going. Do you guys know of some good games to compare. THey can't be violent games by the way. My brother has lord of the rings the return of the game for PS2 is that a good game to compare. Any good ideas?? How about Need for speed?

well the ps2 is gonna get smashed, i will tell you that right now. thats if you have a slightly decent computer. in my opinion anyhow. no violent games? have fun playing the sims.

Need for Speed:U would be fine. You must make sure though, that the game was created by the same software house.

What I mean is, and I'll give you an example, Need for speed <i>Hot Pursuit 2</i> for the PS2, was developed by Black Box, and published by EA Games.

EA also made a PC version of this game, but it was'nt developed by Black Box, and IMO, turned out rather poorly, making this title a bad choice for making a comparison.

If you are going to do a console vs. pc comparison, be sure to get things as apples to apples as you can....and be sure to watch out for scenerio's like I posted above.

do you know about vice city gw? that may be a good game to do a comparison with. violent though. damn it.

That would be a good game, but the graphics are shiitty. If you can find a game that really pushes your pc's hardware, that was also made for the ps2, then that would be your best bet.

I'm looking forward to seeing Doom 3 on an XBox, so I can compare it to my PC experience.

my buddy was just talking about that today. how do you think it will look? i think its gonna look like chronicles of riddick (if you played that) maybe a bit better. it takes a hell of a lot to run it on pc so xbox better suffer.

isn't that kinda depressing? i mean you need a expensive computer that has equipment that on the most part blows the xbox away, but xbox just misses out on the heat haze. spend 2 grand on a computer or 200 bucks for an xbox? i guess i really need a mouse to play games.

Maybe Toca Race Driver 2, Colin Mcrae 04/05, Madden 2004/5... cant think of that many more that arent in some way violent.

One thing also to be make sure of is that you are running everything in high detial too, this will also ensure it looks far superior (providing that you machine can handle it)

in fact i'd say of almost all games available on ps2 that are also available on pc - the pc ones look better.
