What is best bang for buck?

Hi all

I am looking to purchase a netbook/laptop for my 17year old neice. She will be using it for mostly college work, internet, sending and recieving email, music and movies.

With a budget of 250-300 euro I'm basically looking to get the best possible deal.

I will be purchasing from either WWW.DABS.ie or WWW.PCWORLD.IE.

If yal could pick one from each site that would be great help.

Also what is windows 7 starter? I noticed it comes on the notebooks.
Why is it different to Home Premium?

Any help will be greatly appreicated.

You don't want a netbook and you don't want Windows starter. Get a laptop, either Pentium or i3 with a full version of Windows.

If you buy a netbook you'll also have to buy a external DVD-RW because it doesn't come with one. It's also tiny and cheaply made and slow.

AMD's A6, A8, and A10s can also be great options for CPU/GPUs at this price.
