I am trying to make a logo for my business. I know what I want to do, but I'm not sure what I need to do it. Since I can't really explain it look at your internet explorer or better yet your outlook express icon. See how it has a "wrap around"? Well, I need to take a letter and put a "wrap around" on it. I'm not sure if I'm really explaining it correctly, but when I talked to someone at my office they suggested Microsoft Publisher. Does anyone know what kind of program I could use to do this? If you have any questions msg me or just post back.

Thanks in Advance,
Kristy

You'd want to use something like Adobe's Photoshop or Illustrator. Probably not Publisher.
Course, both Photoshop and Illustrator are $500, so just find someone who has it and will let you use it for a while.

Apple? Macintosh? What are these strange words you speak?

Well, I am downloading tryout versions for both of them now, so hopefully I can see if that is what I'm looking for.

Thanks Much,

Cool. I'm not much of a graphics person, but I hope that helps.

try <A HREF="http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/" target="_new">the gimp</A> (not a joke!) for windows.

Believe it or not, AmdMeltdown's actually offering you some pretty decent advice this time.

Yes, GIMP is GPL. Contrary to Microsoft opinion, you will not have to make your logo Open Source just because you created it with GIMP.

I am going to see it now. Thanks very much for your advice, I haven't gotten a chance to look at photoshop or illustrator because I have to re-download it from home.
