I'm Admin, but Can't Compress Drives

I want to compress my c drive (and I choose the 'including subfolders' option) but when I select this, an error message comes up saying I need admin permission to do this. I'm the only user account, and this user account is set to admin. I also went into the 'security' tab in properties of the c drive and gave all authenticated users, administrators, users and system full control to do whatever they (me) want to do to the computer. Still, I cannot compress c drive. What do I need to do?

The only way I know how to run the compress application is by right clicking on the c drive (after launching the windows explorer folder), but the "run the application as an administrator" does not appear in there. UAC is completely disabled.
