nVidia fails SM 3.0 WHQL tests

ATi failing Geometry Instancing is not a surprise because I believe they do not do it the way SM 3.0 requires in the R3xx series and R4xx series.

But nVidia is starting to disappoint. First the VP thing does not work as advertised, now there are SM 3.0 issues. Hopefully nVidia resolves these things asap.

Yah, I'm not surprised either, especially since the FX failed so badly and they just got back in the game with the GF6's. ATi has almost same design so they don't have to rework as much, just optamize. Sort of like Nvidia's GF3 and 4's back in the day. I duely hope they get their act togather and fix this Sh** becaues I didn't pay $400 for a GF 6800 GT that doesn't have working drivers! Nvidia used to have the best drivers, since the FX disaster they've been "off balance" with drivers.

Expect this to be ATI's response to nV's no SM/PS3.0 claims, 'Well you don't have it either'.

I wonder if XGI will get SM3.0 certification before ATI or nV with their next gen part, NAH that's Never gonna happen.

Wonder if the 3Dlabs Realizm is more compliant with the PS3.0 side of SM3.0, it's the only other card to support it sofar (VS2.x though).

The funny thing is that this sort of shows how both ATI and nV are moving AWAY from the standard M$ view of directX which is sort of contrary to what I would've thought would've been learned from the R300/NV3X generation FX fiasco.
