Since the Hercules is 14 months old, that would put it slightly before the 9800XT was launched last year, so I would say it's more than likely a R350.

Hercules got out of the card business before the 128bit versions, and considering their impending departure was planned since the R9800Pro's first few weeks in existance, I doubt they kept making R9800Pros with the R360 chips, more likely move all they can as R9800XTs.

Get over the bios flashing thing. Bios flashing an R360 core 9800 to an XT doesnt get you any more <i>real</i> performance in gameplay, but it does enable the temp reading function of the card.

You bought an R350 card though, so dont be stupid, and try flashing it.

So the card ships with the thermal sensor but it isnt acitivated in the cards software? (Chintzy????)
