I'm not seeing any improvements in <i>anything</i> after installing these.

But at least my monitor didnt blow up....so kudos ATi.

Ok, i m not too much happy with these drivers. Either i did not install them correctly, or its buggy. I ll try reinstalling them.

I was playing NFSU2, and with old drivers it looked really good, now pixels are larger even though resolution is the same. CSS was also slightly FPS laggin. On the desktop, if i move around windows, whole screen flashes. Something like a refresh rate problem ?
Also I could not get the Fastwrites off. I switched it off and it came back on.

OK THESE ARE PISSING ME OFF NOW. MY FPS FELL BY 10 AFTER I INSTALLED THE CCC AND DISABLED AI. OMEGAS 2590 WITH AI DISABLED WERE MUCH FASTER.

It looks like there was some tasty information hidden inside the .INF packaging of these drivers. EB reported that Hexus had <A HREF="http://www.hexus.net/#newsitem1100297929,74356" target="_new">this</A> to say....

Looks like this device driver supports a few as yet unreleased products, namely the R520 'FUDO' (the next generation Shader Model 3.0 part); its M26 which we understand to be the forthcoming MOBILITY RADEON X700; plus its RS400 PCI-Express core-logic for Intel processor platforms.

TIP:

Disable the secondry display adapter from the device manager in the control panel of windows.
I gained like ~9 FPS for VST and ~7 FPS for D3

Lemme get rid if this CCC and it might get my frames up by like 1-3.

edit: ok after doing that my FPS were ~ as Omega 2590, maybe a bit more. but 3dmark went upto 5634 from the old 5555.

Shouldnt really need tweaking in HL2 for ati card, well maybe for those with weak agp cards.

Do you do <i>everything</i> those derelicts at the driver heaven forums do?

Disabling the second ramdac on ATi cards has been tested for performance gains by numerous people, that I respect a lot more than those n00bs at the driver heaven forums.

If doing this <i>trick</i> yielded any performance gains....everyone would be doing it.

....besides, I use multi-monitor. Disabling my secondary adapter would be kind of stupid.

secondy adapter it says (when u try uninstall it from add/rem) for PCI. I dont use that. And did help me. So good for me and maybe others.
