Hi

I m using Windows XP Pro my stats are

lex BN790TM VIA KT266
AMD ATHLOON 2000XP SOKET A 266 FSB
128 MB DDR
40GIG
64MB GEFORCE 2 MX 400

here are my problems

eveytime I boot my PC from cold it freezes a couple minutes later. I reboot roughly 2-3 times and everything seems to be ok.

I have also encountered an error where i hit a blue screen saying some about "IRQ not less than something" (cant remember exactly) then it goes on to say memory dumping. After it restart windows say "serious error has been encoutered" I have also encountered restarts with no error messages when playing games.

can anyone give advice on how to solve this problem ?

I was thinking it maybe the temperature being too high can it cause those errors above? Currently CPU temp is 63C and System temp is 35C

63 degrees thats pretty hot dude, theres heaps of things it could be, but I would deffo lower the temp of the cpu, Ive got a XP2400 and it runs at 23 deg

63c is kind of high. But, within specs, <A HREF="http://139.95.253.214/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=92,E=0000000000102938838,K=2492,Sxi=14,Case=obj(1224)" target="_new">according to AMD</A>.
You should also check your memory with <A HREF="http://www.memtest86.com/" target="_new">Memtest86</A> and see if your memory is OK.
Also, if possible, you should check your power supply to see if it's OK.
