I'm thinking Goo Gone, but i'm not sure if that would ruin the paint.
Any suggestions?

I use AFTA on painted sufaces and never had it ruin the paint. I think
you can get it at Lowes and Home Depot. Here is a link to the website:

Goo Gone has worked well for me on several games. Just be careful not
to use Goof Off, as it WILL mess up the paint. Good luck on your
restore!

WD-40 Really? I didn't think that would work.

AFTA.....Damn...I was just at Home Depot about a Half-Hour
ago.....Grrrr

I have some Goo Gone, but wanted to make sure that it wouldn't fade the
color of the paint since its black or remove it.

Thanks Everyone. Once again the group has pulled together to help me
out.... :)

WD-40 works on all kinds of things. It's a penetrating oil. It will most
definitely remove sticky residue from almost all surfaces including auction
stickers from marquees. Plus, as an added bonus, you can always use it for
other things as well. I keep well stocked on WD-40.

Electronic contact cleaner. Will not harm most paint. About $5 for a 12
ounce can at most home stores in the electrical section. Look for
"electronic" not "electric". Takes off most sticky residue easily.

welllllll not really. Its a water displacer, as in Water Displacer 4.0
:) It was created for military use in jeeps and other vehicles to
displace water in ignition sytems. But it does dissolve gummy glues
pretty good. For hardened glues like under mylar and vinyls you can't
beat Goo Gone though.

I use Sticky Stuff Remover. Smells like citrus and works fantastic. No
damage to anything with this stuff.

I bought mine at Office Depot.
