What did everyone think about Toms review of Half-Life 2??? I thought it was a pretty thorough review myself. Im glad they waited to play the game before rushing it and doing it half assed.

I always read pretty much everything at toms, their gaming reviews are pretty decent, espically when compared to some other sites, they offer a odd sort of look on games that you dont quite get anywhere else. Im suprised all the regs here think they suck.

It was a good effort and I liked most of it, but it did need a graphics card section. Just saying going from the X800XT to GF4ti doesn't really relay the fact that there are differences between DX8.0/8.1/9.0

Also a mention of the need for AA would've been wise.

But overall as a gameplay/general impression review it was good.

<A HREF="http://www.actiontrip.com" target="_new">http://www.actiontrip.com</A> is the best for game reviews.

All reviews maintain a good level of quality. I mostly agree with their game ratings. And from time to time, you get very unconventional and funny reviews. Here's 2 examples:-

I didn't read it all, mostly curious by their graphics impression and the final note.

But the reviewer, I believe Christian Aalbest, has quite some humor in his reviews. Each new THG game review by him has some funny elements, you'll notice.

The only thing that didn't make any sense no matter how much I tried to find an explanation, was his 3.4GHZ AthlonXP test system mentionned at the very end of the review.

I don't mind their reviews, but since I don't read many lately, except for big games out, and often I read them on IGN, it's harder for me to go check em out. I generally will check the final impressions though if it's an important game.

One thing though, they promised some new original benchmarking method for HL2. Where is it?!
