I told myself I would never piece together a game ever again...what do I
do, piece together a Centipede.

So I won a "Complete Centipede wiring harness minus the video connector" on
eBay the other month. I am finally getting around to doing something with
it. I fix a newly acquired ARII and get ready to test voltages on the wire
harness. The "Complete Centipede wiring harness minus the video connector"
wiring harness is missing the smaller of the two edge connectors! ARGH!

I came across the Centi to JAMMA adapter at Arcadeshop. This would really
make my life easy in terms of this de-conversion. The cab is wired JAMMA
(very nicely done, I might add)at the moment.

Any opinions on the arcadeshop adapter board?

Thanks!

The smaller of the two connectors only takes care of the video and the
umamplified audio out. Bob Roberts sells the smaller edge connector and you
can easily make the harness for that. Most of the rest of the pins are for
joystick inputs for Centipede. Look at the pinout and go from there.

Scott,

Thanks for the info.

I just ran into a minor roadblock of no 22v on the ARII. I am going to
fix this first and go from there. I can get the edge connector locally. I
am lucky to have about 6 surplus electronics stores in my general area.

Best Regards,
Tom

Just when you think things couldn't get worse.....

Looks like someone played musical pins on this edge connector. Most of the
video leads trace back to the 44 pin connector (in the center 10 J K F)
There is a fabric tag that reads "A037433-01". I found reference to this as
a Centipede loom.

Frack
