Thanks for d advice. So, what do youse guys mean by shader, heavy games......kinda new to computer stuff, also how much do youse think i can get for the 5900XT.

Computer specs are Athlon XP +2400, 768DDR memory, 40G HD,
would this limit the performance of the new 6600GT

Alot of the new games are taking advantage of pixel shader 2.0 / 3.0 capabilities in larger and larger quantities, 2.0 is very frequent in most recent games (Mandatory???), 3.0 is slowly making a apperance, but should become increasingly common in the future. The graphics cards of the future are definetly going to need pixel shader 3.0 support, so if your buying a card today, think about tomorrow.

Your system should run it, but you should have a quality 350 watt power supply. Nvidia says 300 watts, but I would have 350 watts to be safe.
