I'm trying to help someone out with what he thought was just an issue with
offline files and discovered that it's apparently more complex than that.
He's running a Windows XP Pro machine on a peer-to-peer network that is
mixed XP and 98. His laptop is running XP Pro as well. He has numerous files
that he makes available offline for his laptop. He's created new subfolders
in a shared folder that he has set to be available offline that don't show
up when he synchronizes. I found the references to the fix for that by going
into group policy editor and applied it. It didn't make a difference and
when I investigated I found that the subfolders weren't even visible through
browsing network places. I double-checked that they showed as being shared
on the desktop computer and that wasn't the problem. You can't find them
through a search and I can't figure out why this is happening. Anyone have
any ideas?

Thanks in advance
