Gaming Laptop

HI! I've been lurking these forums for awhile and even made a couple posts, and let me tell you, i've learned a alot. However, i was wondering what the "best" gaming laptop would be. I know that laptops lack GPU power as opposed to Desktops. I was just wondering what the best sub 1000 gaming laptop would be. atleast a 670m i think



1. What is your budget? sub $1000

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? I was thinking about 15.6, average

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1080p ( or like 1600x900, not sure if that's common on laptops tho)

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? desktop replacement

5. How much battery life do you need? a couple hours should be sufficient, however, the switchable graphics could come in handy for when im only browsing the net and increasing battery life while doing so

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? I want to play Gw2, LoL, maybe bf3 on medium
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? gaming, web browsing, and maybe some video editing

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? atleast 500gb

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. the best deal

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? a few years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? dvd rom reader and writer

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. No preference

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. Xoticpc.com had some seamingly good deals on laptops with a 670m. i just wonder what the 670m's performance in gw2/bf3 would be ( no AA in bf3).
