I don't want different icons, I just want to change the colour to something
else, is there a hack or a freeware programe that will do it for me.
Manythanks

Sandal,

Use the OpenFolder.zip here as the example:
http://www.mvps.org/serenitymacros/icon.html

Works by overriding the Shell Icons (3 & 4)

Hi Ramesh,
I am not sure if I explained myself well enough, this is what I want to do,
If I create a new folder on my desktop or in my documents, I want to be able
to change the yellow to something else, will what you gave me still do it and
am I able to reverse it if I don't like my efforts?
Manythanks

Sandal,

That link / fix was an example. That explains the possibility of overriding
the default folder icons. If you have a custom .ico file, you can use it to
replace the Yellow folder icon (standard).
