ASUS RADEON 9800PRO 8X AGP 256MB DDR $440.78
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO AGP 256MB $405.83
SAPPHIRE RADEON 9800 PRO W/DVI OUT 4X AGP W/256MB DDR FULL RETAIL $395.15
MSI NX6800GT GeForce 6800GT 256MB GDDR3 w/DVI, TV-Out $589.00
Leadtek Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256MB $579.00
Gainward Nvidia 6800GT AGP 256MB $635.00
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro All-In-Wonder 128MB $395.00
HIS Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB IceQ w/DVI & TV Out $335.00

These are the cards I have been able to find at my local dealers. Can anyone give me some advice on what would be a good choice. I am making a Athlon64 3200+ with a MSI Neo2 Platinum mobo. I will use it primarily for gaming.

Thanks in advance

Where the heck do you live?!?! Those prices seem absolutely insane. I picked up my bfg 6800gt for $315. You should be able to get a 9800pro off new egg for around $160-$200. Are we talkin canadian currency or what?

Gainward 6800GT best of those cards. Can you get X800Pro or X800XT?

Yeah those are Canadian dollars, and yes, I can get the X800Pro or X800XT but I am really trying to cut back on the expenses here a little. This is getting way too expensive and the X800Pro or X800XT are even more expensive so I really don't think I can get either of those cards... even if I want to :(

Is the Gainward 6800GT the best for the money?? or the best??

Cause it is probably at the VERY upper end of my price range and will require excessive sucking up to my wife to be purchased (which I would like to avoid at all costs). But if it is an absolutely must have card... then I will do what a man has got to do.

Any other suggestions on cards that I should keep my eye open for are welcome. I am really not looking for the absolute best here, I am looking for the best cost/performance ratio.
