You can try to get a X800XTpe directly from ATI off their website. Might be a waiting list. The X800XT isn't far behind in performance and should be alot easier to find, not to mention cheaper. The Geforce 6800GT is one step down from the 6800Ultra and is in the $350-$400.(USD)

Go to pricewatch.com and you'll see plenty of X800XT's. But unfortunately, sticker price is cheap for them.

The 6800GT's are the best bargain in high end. They don't have the raw power of the X800XT, but they are cheaper priced and easier to find below their list price even.

eVGA, Leadtek are good, no complaints and everyones having great success overclocking them, the bfg has limited overclocking capabilitys and cooling, the asus card is very expensive and ive seen other cards benched compared to it that are better.

Personally as much as I would want an XTpe, I don't think they are worth $100+ over a plain X800XT. Plain XT's are available for under $500, although still higher than their $450 list price. Neweggs prices are great, but will probably come up if/when they come back in stock.

You could get a X800 Pro and bios flash it to a XT PE, and they cost $400 and are available.

pauldh,I compleatly agree with you...I'm not going to spend $600 for a card..I will go $500..All of the sites I have gone to that have X800XT's for $500 or close dont have them in stock.I'm realing starting to lean towards a 6800GT,just cant decide on what brand....
