My laptop won't come out of hibernation

So I got a new laptop and I can't get it to awake from hibernation. It will only awake from sleep. Every time I put it on hibernate it would say that it's resuming windows and then after that there would be black screen with a blinking white line on the top left. all I can do is press the power button and restart. If I waited long enough for the black screen then it will turn into the blue screen everyone knows and hates, and then I would have to press the power button to shut it down and the reboot. could someone please help me thanks.

This is a common problem unfortunately. The best way to deal with it is to turn of hibernation mode in the power settings and just go with sleep mode. You can access the power options by simply right clicking on the battery/power icon in the system tray near the time.

hybernation's rubbish, I've never known a laptop to do it properly.

I turned it off and then turned it back on and it works now lol.
