USB Ports not working - main system board assembly

Hello,
My Toshiba laptop developed a problem with the USB ports, they are now saying it is physical damage and the msin system boad assembly is the fault. It is only 7 months old!!!

make sure your mb system drivers are up to date and you dont have a bad usb driver. if your getting the message then two things could have happend. one of your usb devices the rubber insulator pad is damaged and it shorted out your usb port on your mb. you have a usb device with a bend or broken pin. you had a usb stick in the laptop and someone hit it with some force and snapped the port or the soilder joint on the port snapped. I would back up your personal data and send the unit in for repair.
