Free toshiba recovery cd download C655D-S5302

Please I have a Toshiba C660D-10D, it will not boot and on trying to boot, i get a msg like media cable not found . Insert a media cable and strike any key o continue...This is obvious the system can not read the HDD. I entered system setup to change boot options. i discovered that the HDD not recognised on the system setup. Please educate me on what to do? Will a toshiba recovery cd do the job? i dont have the recovery cd anylonger. If yes, how do i download one.

First you'd need to replace the HDD if it's not showing up in the BIOS, then you'd need a Toshiba restore disc set, which cannot be downloaded. You have to contact Toshiba and request one. Whether or not they still have them or not I can't say, and they may well charge you a nominal shipping fee.
