GeForce 6600GT...What brand?

Ok im looking to buy a GeForce 6600GT, the AGP version, since im too poor to get a 6800. I was wondering what brand should I go for. MSI? XFX? Aopen?...

Gainwards "Goes like Hell" 6600 GT version is supposed to be the best in that range. It the fastest core clock of all the 6600 GT's and Gainward was recommended by THG by being the best manufacturer....

Saying that, in the UK the card is about £20 more than the others but the extra performance is worth it!

Well, according to their site, Gainward only have the 6600 in PCIExpress not in AGP

Where do you live? Over in the US, I have seen a 6800 for cheaper than an AGP 6600GT. While that is rare, often it is only $20 or less difference. Here, If you can afford $230 on a card, why not $250 for a better card? But maybe where you are from it's totally different.

I live in canada and the best price I have foudn for the 6600GT is 249$CA on Tigerdirect.com
However I'd rather have a 6600GT then a straight 6800

$249 Canadian sounds like a very good price for an AGP 6600GT. Make sure it's not PCI-e, as those are cheaper.

Not sure what you have against the plain 6800. It is clearly a more powerful card than the 6600GT. Sure if it's $300 Canadian, maybe it is not worth it to you. But if it's $249 vs. $259, the plain 6800 is the better deal for sure.

Gainward definately have a AGP version of the "Goes Like Hell" 6600GT, and the clock speed stated was 540+.... so obviously if u wanted u could overclock it easily! Seems to be faster than the normal 6800 anyway.

P.S. Why are US prices so much cheaper than the UK?
