I have an ATI X800 PRO and i'm currently using the driver supplied by the maker of the board... VisionTek... only because they have that extra feature called Overdrive, which pretty much overclocks the GPU core automatically... i never really use it, especially with games like HL2 running... not that the machine is smooth at all anyways, but i was wondering... is it better to keep that, or just use the standard ATI driver set?

thank you for any help in advance;
Mo

Its the same drivers.

Signature (up to 200 characters). You may use Markup in your signature

only XTs get the overdrive thingy with ATI drivers unless hacked.
Get omegas.

Use both, and test. Stick with which ever seems to perform better !!!

You cud try running something like 3Dmark to tsest, and see which yileds a better figure, for a more accurate result on which drivers are better.
