24 pixel pipeline monster ready to come out next year to compete with FUDO. Nvidia has canceled their nv48 and nv50 because of this. All Nvidia needs right now is an update to for those SLI cards. Right now 6600gt is best bang for the buck.

While NVIDIA remains extremely tight-lipped over its future products, it is known that the company is readying its code-named NV47 visual processing unit, a massively revamped GeForce 6 architecture with 24 pixel pipelines. The NV47 is expected to be released sometime in Spring, 2005, but it is unknown whether NVIDIA is ahead, or behind ATI’s R520 product.

Besides, logic based on the typical NV pattern dictates either an NV45 or NV48, so a 5 or 8 number would be the last one in the core name for the next flagship of the same serie.
NV47 just sounded way too odd.
