700 euro student laptop

Here is the deal, i started a week ago with a study called communication and multimedia design, a laptop was mandatory for signing up and i thought that i had that covered with my asus eee pad transformer tft 101 with keyboard, splashtop remote and a fast desktop at home. But this first week has shown me that i could not have been more wrong. They need me to work the entire adobe cs6 master collection and some other video editing software i have yet to learn the name of in the class and show them the result by the end of the day.

Wich means that my pad is useless and my big fat desktop more or less aswell, i managed to create a 700 euro budget for myself to get a laptop that can hopefully do all these things and maybe a little more.
Everyone, and i do mean almost everyone in my entire faculty is using apple mac book pro's, this is obviously out of reach with my budget so i came up with the following model:

The reason i ask you for help is because
1, i can't seem to find out if this is the ddr3 or the ddr5 version
2, i have no idea if the gt640m will hold up for the next 5-6 years ddr5 or not
3, i don't know if i NEED to get an i7 in this priceclass with my expected use, the desktop i was talking about is equipped with an i5 2500k, is this at all comparable to the mobile i5 3210? because i love it
4, if you know of another laptop that might fit my purpose and budget better, im all ears
5, last time i asked the people of tomshardware for help i could not have dreamed of all the effort people put into helping me spend my money wiseley, so for that thanks!

Mobile i5 are strong but two-core processors, if u really need 4 cores u should either take a more expensive i7 or an AMD trinity based laptop. My recommendation would be this:

Superb build quality, strong hardware and a more powerful GPU than Acer's (unless u really need CUDA cores).
I would choose Dell Inspiron 15R SE anytime, consider it seriously.

That looks very interesting thanks for the reply i will take a closer look. I called my dad for some financial help and he bumped my budget to 850 so that widens the choise once again.

I did notice that that puts me right in the i7 3610QM range, is this worth the extra money or should i not bother?
the i7 price range seems to come with the gt650m and the radeon hd7730m how do these 2 compare?

7730M is class B, meaning strong GPU, 650M is class A, meaning even stronger

With 17R SE, u will have a stronger GPU, quad-core i7 CPU and a full HD 17 inches monitor. Still Inspiron 15R SE gives more for its price, but if u feel that u really need the larger screen coupled with even stronger hardware (for example u use programs that are core-restrained or u will appreciate the even stronger GPU and its CUDA cores), Inspiron 17R SE is an excellent offer, maybe the best in its price range.
