I am looking for a good way to check the specs on my system, I decided to start with the graphics card. I have gathered that 3dmark03 is such a program designed to test exactly this, is this correct?? Is this an easy program to use??
P.S. If you have any imput on other programs to test the performance of other parts (or the system as a whole) that would be great.
3D Mark 2003 is great for the video card. 3D Mark 2001 is great for testing the video card, CPU, and RAM. SiSoft Sandra is great for testing individual parts of the whole system. All are easy to use.

performance? if you can run any games you are currently playing at ur desired gaming environment without lag, problems, slowdown, PC lighting up on fire, make you want to smash the HL2 box etc. The performance of your PC is great, otherwise it isn't.
