Hi, I've been having problems recently in that, when I boot up, although my
LAN connection is fine and the server is connected to the internet, I cannot
get online. I have also tried connecting directly through the modem on my pc,
with the same results. To all intents and purposes, everything shows that i
am connected, but I cannot access any websites or email. The only way I've
found around this problem is to do a system restore to a previous date [maybe
only a few days ago] and everything is the fine for a while. Then, for no
apparent reason, i'll boot up and will be unable to access the internet
again. I get no warnings or error messages of any kind, my anti-virus is bang
up to date, firewall is on, etc etc.
What is causing this problem? HELP, it's driving me nuts!

Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for tech support.

Do an online virus scan and carefully look at all running processes. This
sounds like problems caused by virus/spyware activity.
