The father of the integrated circuit died this week in Dallas. He created
the first integrated circuit at Texas Instruments in the late 1950s. Every
video game we have ever played or worked on contains a forest of those
little black boxes. The computer you're reading this with would still be
the size of a house if not for his tinkering.

It's not often somebody innocently ends up completely changing the world,
but he did.
