I built my new rig last week. As soon as I had it up and running I ran 3DMark03; speed was fine and everything looked great. Then I finished updating everything, including BIOS and nforce drivers using MSI's LiveUpdate utility.

The next time I ran 3DMark I started seeing serious distortion on most of the tests. Both small and large square pixels appearing in narrow vertical bands up and down the screen. This also occurs in the Doom3 demo. I have tried reseating the card, reinstalling the video drivers and flashing back to the original BIOS (1.3) -- no luck. I'm pretty sure it's not a heat or power issue. I'm scratching my head now. I'd be inclined to RMA the card if I hadn't seen it work so well the first time. Anybody have any suggestions? I haven't overclocked anything on the machine, and now I'm progressing into the 'frustrated' stage.

Update: I used Radlinker to play with the settings on the card. The corruption appears to be coming from the memory; I had to underclock it all the way from 337 to 303 before it went away entirely. The core is still running at stock.

Now I'm considering an RMA for it. Do I have any other options? I'm open to suggestions.

Yeah, I just tried a complete format and reinstall. Same problem. Back it goes.

Thanks for the advice.
