Hello, Guys and Girls of this website.

I have a problem that i have been trying to sort out but i cant seem to fix the issue.

I bought a Asus Maximus gene v and i put my machine together using components i know work as i used them in a previous build.

( I was changing from a AMD mobo to a Intel one.)

Anyway long story short i plugged everything in turned it on and nothing moves at all.

There is power to the motherboard and the lights turn on just nothing moves when i press start.

What i have done is i have reseated the processor,GPU,Ram and unplugged and re plugged in the SATA cables and the power to them and those cables for the HD LED + and - cables. All to no avail.

I also check to see that the motherboard isn't touching the case in case it short circuits and it seems fine to me.

Is there anything I'm missing or should try ?

Processor is a Intel i5 3570k

Asus Maximus gene v motherboard

Gtx 570 gpu

and Corsair Vengeance Ram.

Thanks a lot

I assume you mean no fans move?

Have you tried jump starting it (screwdriver over the power button pins)?

Yeah power is going into the motherboard as it lights up when i turn it on.The 8 and 24 plugs are in. I have tried swapping the cpu fan to different Slots marked as CPU_fan and CPU_ opts as well as the ones marked Chassis but its been to no avail.

+1 to mi1ez - try plugging the fan into the old AMD board and just power up the board with nothing else connected.

Disconnect from mains and pull the cmos battery for 30 mins. Just did this with a board last week that I haven't used in 3 months which had same symptoms and low and behold, came back to life, corrupt bios.
