my computer keeps rebooting itself after log in. i had just installed some hotfixes. i am pretty sure this is not due to the worm thats out now or faulty memory (i get a 0x0000008E error on my BSOD). how do i know? because this happened before to me. it was due to one of the hotfixes that was installed by windows update. after i uninstalled it ran fine. the problem is i totally forgot which hotfix was the culprit and just installed all the available patches. does anyone know which hotfix this could be? this patch is pretty old now. i think it was released at the beginning of this year sometime.

or is there a way to check the date the patch was installed? if so, i can just check all the patches that were installed today and see the date they were created. the oldest one that was installed today should be culprit.

thanks in advance

Could always resort to removing the hotfixes until you find the culprit! Or if you have a system restore point from a while back that could do the job too.
