Looks to be a nice card. Wonder what the HIS will OC too? XT Press Edition speeds!

For $300, these XL's are going to make 2 6600GT's in SLI look slow. Yet people are jumping all over this SLI thing.

I am real curious as to prices. Will they hold a over-list premium, or will 6800's and 6800GT's drop in price.

X850's are architecturally identical to the X800's, so no shader model 3.0...

I thought the 850 was 0.11 micron

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign</pre><p></font color=red>

It isn't... it's 13 micron. But it *has* been reworked. But it's still architecturally identical to the X800.

Actually, the X800XL is 11 micron... though it's architecturally identical to the old X800 as well, just on a smaller process.

Oh thats just great. Guess Im sticking with my 9800 little longer after all. At lease the 850s will resolve the supply issue with the PE versions.

Good thing you added the asterisks, cuz IMO, nothing's been reworked, thing runs even hotter (power consumption) and by a lot more despite lower memory speeds and a slightly higher core one. I don't get it, I just don't.

I wish....

Right now I have doubts. It has yet to be available. THG's Hard News was showing Visiontek being excited about announcing their X850 lineup to be out soon......in December's beginning!

Goddamn it. I'll never be able to uprgade.
