CompUSA has the PNY Verto GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB DDR3 on sale for $200 AR. This seems like a good deal. But this brand was not included in the 12/9 roundup on AnandTech. And given all the warnings in that article about thermal tape and glue failing, I am afraid to take a chance. Does anybody have details on the PNY card? Does it have HSF problems? Any idea what the noise level is? Also interested in heat but more interested in the noise. Will probably NOT overclock so stock performance is more important to me than overclockability. What are your thoughts?
