More about acer good
  1. Acer laptop lasts for 3 year max before you need to change the mobo (200-300 $ repairs)

If you want a longer lasting laptop get an Asus or msi, it's worth the extra money.

You absolutely have to stay away from Toshiba, gateway, emachines...
  2. I had an Acer TimelineX 4830TG with almost the same specs and it would've done everything you required. The V3 you linked also has a better graphics card- 630m vs the 4830TG's 540m. I think it would do fine. It just doesn't look like Newegg has them in stock. If you get one, shove another 4GB stick of DDR3 in it... you won't regret the extra $20 or so.
