I highly doubt it; the HD 4000 graphics is your bottleneck. If you put all the settings down to lowest and set the resolution to 720p, you might achieve 20-30 fps.

for video is an 8800 GT. The HD4000 is a couple of tiers lower than the 8800 GT:

Still even if it could play it, you'd be crippled with a low end video, a low speed(5400 rpm) hard drive. I think you'd be very dissatisfied with the game.

For playing BF3 on a laptop you definitely need one that have a built in dedicated GPU, something in the GTX 500M+/HD 6000+ level if you want good FPS on Medium/High setting with no Anti-Alias.

I don't know if BF3 does this(since I haven't seen it during installation), but some game(Like Company of Heroes) would check your PC hardware before installation and refuse to install if your PC don't meet their minimum requirement.
