Are there any 1920x1200 laptops still available?

Looking for a 1920x1200 laptop that has in the ball park of 16gb of ram and a video card with at least 1gb memory.

I have read that they may not be available because the new Intel Processors do not support it, but I can't rap my head around why that would be.

Any help would be appreciated.

  1. It's not because Intel CPUs do not support 1920x1200 resolution. It's because 1920x1080 has grown in popularity over 1920x1200. Plus 1920x1200 are also more expensive so offering a 1920x1080 resolution screen also decreases the price tag.
  2. You also need to provide a budget... and as stated above a graphic card's performance is more than just the amount of RAM it has. The graphic card model number is most important. For 1920x1080 resolution I recommend at least a nVidia GTX 670m if you want eye candy and performance.
  3. Sorry I didn't provide all the information.

It will be more used as a mobile work station than for gamming, so the video card needs to be more geared toward autocad/solidworks than anything else.

The budget isn't as crucial, but I'm not looking for any $3,000 laptops, unless they are the only options.

    Thanks
  4. I believe at this point, 1920 x 1080 is the best you are going to get.

They are out there "With a 15.4" high-resolution WUXGA widescreen and
discrete graphics", but they are not cheap.
