well, i just wnat to inform u guys, who are waiting for this card. I live in toronto and i just got off the phone from compusmart with a friend who works there. This store is the very first store to receive the x800xl and x850xt. My friend who works there, said he just returned from a meeting with ABIT CORP. he said that these cards will not arrive anytime soon. Minium would be late march. So im gona froget this and go ahead and buy 2 6600's in sli or a 6800gt.

ASUS 440BX P3B-F, Intel P3 @ 553Mhz, 128Mb Pc133 Ram, nVidia Gefore 256, IBM 20gig HD, Creative Sound Blaster Live,Lg Cd-Burner, Creative 52x Cd Drive, Microsoft Windows XP Pro/2000 Pro Duel Boot

CompuSmart!?! Hah, they don't get ANYTHING first!

First company to get ATI cards in Toronto is almost always Grey Tech, they're about 2 blocks from ATI, and they're always the first to post on the web with stock to sell. Also among the first will surely be CanadaComputers who has stores downtown and in Markham (just down Hwy 7 from ATI) and always has a ton of selection.

How can they be 'the first store' if they don't have any? You can only BE the first by actually having the card and BEING THE FIRST. Unless that phrase is what it probably REALLY should say "This store will be the first in the CompuSmart chain to get these cards, of course long after everyone else."

Anywhoo, I'll believe some dweeb who works for a big chain when the big chains start selling the cards before the small stores at Spadina and College. Even the people here who work for big chain stores get their info from elsewhere instead of simply from corporate HQ.

Too bad ScottChen doesn't post as often anymore, he'd probably have better sources.

No it isn't in stock though man, if you check the link itself, it'll say Pre-Order. In my eyes it's far from being in stock yet. :eek:

Anyways I was mainly looking not from the price list but the left link called Gamer. It used to be there but was pulled.

Ah yes pre-order. Whipee I can give you my money for nothing! :lol: I hate when they do that.

Why would they put the XL in it's own class outside of the X800s? It's a different chip, but the same number series. I think if they had it seperate before this change makes sense.

Anyways, the pre-order link is a new thing, but I'm surprised the XL is pre-orderable, but not the X850, especially considering the order they were launched/released.

Hey, JTF2 and The Princess Pat's Snipers are World Class no doubt about that!
The rest just make do with older gear and less support, but still get the job done.

Oh well, it is supposed to be a defensive/peacekeeping force and not an invasion/crusading force, so it meets OUR needs, even if it's not Sexy.

I have a bunch of friends in our piddly little 50,000 man force.

They told me you guys stopped playing cross-border wargame excercises with them because you always lost... heheh.

But yeah, it is a small, cheap military. That's not always a bad thing, though.

Say, how much was it that you guys added to your national debt invading iraq again...? ;)
